Is the man SERIOUS?

Ok, I just logged on to one of the boards to see what happened tonight at the first concert and this was the set list I saw:

Am I to believe that the above is the official set list for ALL the orchestra concerts? To say that I am in shock is an understatement. The last thing I want to pay good money for is to hear Clay or anybody sing Like a Virgin or Baby Got Back in concert!!!! Has the boy been smoking the wacky weed lately? Clay can do WAAAAAAY better than this selection of songs and I don't have clue one as to what he is trying to accomplish with all this.

Now, I may think differently after seeing some clack but I doubt it. Where is Everything I Have? That is my favorite song on the album and a good orchestral choice. What about Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word? That's another good choice that lends itself to orchestral coloring. Broken Wings would bring down the house and Lonely No More would have them weeping in the aisles.

And what's up with these medleys? I have experience doing a TV themes medley but that was in a cabaret setting - not a concert one with an orchestra! The other medley makes me want to barf -- he won't sing Touch in concert but he'll sing Like a Virgin & Sexy Back? There is something definitely wrong with all this because I can't believe I'm either that old or square in not wanting to waste my time listing to Clay waste his great vocal pipes on this trash. I have tickets to Meadowbrook that I am now seriously thinking of selling on eBay rather than haul my butt 3 hours north to experience this type of concert by someone I believe has more talent and musical brains than what he appears to be using at the present moment.

Am I being a bit harsh and rash here? I dunno but the clack better prove better than the descriptions I read or I will NOT be going to hear Clay this time around. I just wouldn't be able to take him seriously as a performer and that would be sad. Please tell me this was just an aberration or a bad dream.

I realize I've probably just ticked off most of the Clay Nation but I've never minced my words here before nor would I ever say anything here I wouldn't be comfortable saying to Clay personally. I'm initially disappointed with this tour's set list and am hoping that it will change as it rolls along.
